Students will engage in a variety of activities at Arte Américas in Fresno. Students will choose from the following: Piñatas: creating their own tiny pinata as well as a one-page storybook that brings their little piñata character to life, all while exploring the cultural significance of the festive pinata. African Drumming: learning about African music and culture. Drum activities will include learning songs and rhythms using West African drumming techniques. Spanish Literacy: language education through creative storytelling and music. Feliz Fitness: students will participate in a low impact Latin dance and workout class. Students can expect to improve their fitness and health, strengthen muscles and posture, and experience the joy of dance.

On January 6, 2022, there will be a showcase for families of Cultural Arts camp participants that includes a performance and exhibit of their completed works of art. Families will receive a one-year family membership to Arte Américas and one family package ticket for admission to a Summer Plaza Concert or Special Event will be provided. In addition, each family will receive a photo of their child standing between a pair of wings in front of the interactive mural at Arte Américas.
